Here is a delicious recipe for veal heart with ginger and basil, both fragrant and easy to make.
Ingredients for 4 persons :
- 1 veal heart, sliced
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 onion
- 4 sprigs of fresh basil
- 3 cm of grated fresh ginger
- 1 C. starch
- 30 cl of dry white wine
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. coffee sugar
- 3 tbsp. peanut oil
- Salt and pepper.
> Cut the heart into sticks and soak for 10 minutes in cold water.
> Mix the white wine with the soy sauce and the pinch of sugar. Add the cornstarch and gently heat the mixture, stirring constantly.
> Stop cooking as soon as the cream coats the back of the spoon. Drain and dry the sticks, then brown them for 10 minutes over high heat in hot oil.
> Add the crushed garlic, the minced onion then the grated ginger and cook for 15 minutes.
> At the end, add the chopped basil, salt and pepper.
> Serve the heart sticks accompanied by fresh tagliatelle or rice vermicelli.
