For more than 20 years, the Bonpland Prize has recognized exemplary gardens in their design and gardening practices. This annual competition created by the SNHF (Société Nationale d'Horticulture de France) and supported by the Jardiland Institute is an opportunity to promote the creation or restoration of pleasure gardens by amateur gardeners. It therefore rewards initiatives that serve as an example and that every budding gardener can make their own. The prize winners also undertake, for the sake of sharing know-how, to open their garden to visitors.
A very "Feminine-Masculine" 2013 edition
This year, 18 gardens in 12 regions of France were in the running on the theme "Feminine-Masculine". An original way of exploring the seldom harmless, sometimes complex, often complementary, always enriching relationships between the male and the female in the garden. During the Courson Plant Days, Friday, October 19, 2012, the public was able to discover the winners of this edition.
